Six trims are offered for the 2023 Cadillac Escalade: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Premium Luxury Platinum, Sport, Sport Platinum, and Escalade V-Series. Engine (Power)
The first five trims have the same standard engine, a 6.2-liter V-8 putting out up to 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. A 3-liter six-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine is available for 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. As its standard engine, the top-of-the-line Escalade V-Series offers a 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 that cranks out an impressive 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque. No matter which engine you opt for, it's mated to a smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
Leading off the performance features of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade is the automatic start/stop technology that increases fuel efficiency by turning the engine off while you are stopped. Other standard performance features include a premium suspension system, a StabiliTrak electronic stability control system with traction control, and a mechanical limited-slip rear differential. In addition, you can opt for a Cat-back performance exhaust system, an electronic limited-slip differential, an adaptive air ride suspension, and magnetic ride control.
The standard for all Escalade trims is rear-wheel drive, but you can opt for the four-wheel-drive system to tow more or take on rougher terrain and inclement conditions. The best-equipped Escalades have a maximum towing capacity of up to 8,200 pounds. Finally, the Escalade V-Series offers Brembo high-performance brakes, V-specific driving modes, and a performance-tuned adaptive air suspension.
Interior
Luxury envelopes you when you sit behind the wheel of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade. Starting with the Luxury, you get keyless entry, a dash-spanning 16.9-inch infotainment screen with a 14.2-inch digital instrument cluster, and simulated leather upholstery.
