2023 Cadillac XT6
The Cadillac XT6 is one of two Cadillac SUVs with three rows of seats. It has a roomy, family-friendly cabin that comes equipped with lots of tech features and equipment, and it has a strong lineup of engines. For the 2023 model year, you'll get heated rear seats as a standard feature in the Premium Luxury and Sport trims, and these models also gain heated and ventilated front seats and integrated navigation. Cadillac also added some new exterior colors to the lineup for 2023.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The entry-level XT6 Luxury comes with 18-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, LED headlights, and roof rails. It also has a power liftgate. A step up to the Premium Luxury adds 20-inch wheels, power-folding side mirrors, a hands-free liftgate, and rain-sensing windshield wipers, and the Sport trim has sport-tuned adaptive suspension and Brembo brakes. The optional Platinum Package for the Premium Luxury adds the adaptive sport suspension, and depending on the trim, you can also get a wired tow hitch.
Engine (Power)
Power for the Luxury trim comes from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas engine that puts out 237 horsepower. The rest of the XT6 lineup gets a 3.6-liter V-6 that produces 310 horsepower. Both engines work with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Both the Luxury and Premium Luxury trims come standard with front-wheel drive and offer all-wheel drive as an option. The Sport trim comes standard with all-wheel drive.
Performance
The ride in the XT6 is smooth and comfortable. The base four-cylinder engine has plenty of power for this SUV, but the V-6 has quicker acceleration and more passing power. The Sport trim has a sportier feel behind the wheel with its twin-clutch sport-tuned all-wheel-drive system that can distribute power to either the left or right side of the drive axles and move it from front to back. When equipped with the optional towing package and the V-6 engine, the XT6 can tow up to 4,000 pounds.
Interior
Inside, there's room for up to eight people. All models have a third row, and the seats come covered in simulated leather upholstery in the entry-level Luxury model. Other standard features include tri-zone automatic climate control, heated and power-adjustable front seats, and remote ignition. Heated second-row seats come in the Premium Luxury, which also gains a power-adjustable steering column and a heated steering wheel.
Technology in the XT6 includes an 8-inch touchscreen, a Wi-Fi hotspot, multiple USB ports, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Premium Luxury adds wireless charging, navigation, and a premium 14-speaker Bose stereo.
Safety Features
Every 2023 XT6 comes with a full suite of advanced driver aids. These include a forward collision warning system with automatic braking, lane-keep assist, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and a safety alert seat. Add the Driver Assist Package to get an adaptive cruise control system, rear automatic braking, automatic seat-belt tightening, and an enhanced version of the forward collision mitigation system. The Technology Package is optional and comes with a head-up display, a digital rearview mirror, a 360-degree surround-view camera system, rear pedestrian alert, and an automated parking system.
